HTC Desire Eye

On Wednesday, the HTC Desire Eye price for India has been set at Rs. 35,990, by a Mumbai-based businessman and also claimed this gadget is available now, ahead of an official announcement by the company.


During the unveiling of the HTC Desire Eye in India, the manufacturer did not announce the price and only said that the device will be releasing in late November exclusively on Amazon India. But this did not happen till now, and the website of HTC India still lists it as ‘Coming soon’.

As per reports, the availability of the Desire Eye at a similar price was also told in New Delhi by another established retailer.


Focusing mainly on the selfie, the HTC Desire Eye boasts of a front-facing camera with the same treatment as the rear camera. Both the cameras will feature 13-megapixel sensors. It also comes with a LED flash feature which helps in capturing amazing photographs. In order to put the Desire Eye’s purported price in perspective, the HTC One (M8 Eye) was already launched in the month October this year at Rs.39, 000.

It is amazing for the customers to know that both the front-facing and rear cameras will be able to shoot 1080p@30fps videos. The rear camera features as f/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens, while the front-facing camera will feature an f/2.2 aperture with a 20mm lens.

Some unique features of camera like Crop-Me-In, Split Capture and others will also be available on the HTC Desire Eye. The Split Capture has the ability to divide the image 50/50 between front and rear cameras, the Crop-Me-In feature will crop the user’s image and can superimpose it on the image which was shot by the rear camera.

The HTC Desire Eye will also feature an IPX7 rating, which is designed to resist immersion in water up to 1 meter for around 30 minutes. Talking about other specifications and features of this smartphone, the HTC Desire Eye boasts of a 5.2-inch full-HD LCD display, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor , 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via micro SD card (up to 128GB), and a 2400mAh Li-Po battery. The front-facing stereo speakers is powered by HTC Boom Sound technology and are also onboard the handset.
